About Us

doreeceDorrece is a fifth-generation Floridian, having grown up in the Big Bend area of Florida. Following her late husband Lamar’s graduation from Florida State University, they got married and lived away for several years. In 1991, the decision was made to move back to Tallahassee because this area still felt like “home”. Dorrece went to work with the Board of Regents at the Department of Education, and Lamar joined a local real estate firm as an associate and also became a State-certified Residential Appraiser. An 8-5 job for Dorrece, along with spending time with her aging parents on weekends, seemed to leave no free time for the two to spend together. Dorrece got a real estate license in 1993 and joined Lamar in his work. In 2001, Lisenby Realty, Inc., was opened with Dorrece as the Broker/Owner.  Lamar chose to concentrate on residential appraising, and after 20 years, retired in November, 2011.


In order to provide customers and clients with as much expertise as possible, Dorrece has continued her professional education to obtain several designations.

They are: ABR – Accredited Buyer Representative CRS – Certified Residential Specialist GRI – Graduate Realtor Institute SRES – Seniors Real Estate Specialist- CHMS Certified Home Marketing Specialist
