Dorrece

Dorrece is a fifth-generation Floridian, having grown up in the Big Bend area of Florida. Following husband Lamar's graduation from Florida State University, they got married and lived away for several years. In 1991, the decision was made to move back to Tallahassee because this area still felt like "home". Dorrece went to work with the Board of Regents at the Department of Education, and Lamar joined a local real estate firm as an associate and also became a State-certified Residential Appraiser.

An 8-5 job for Dorrece, along with spending time with her aging parents on weekends, seemed to leave no free time for the two to spend together. Dorrece got a real estate license in 1993 and joined Lamar in his work. In 2001, Lisenby Realty, Inc., was opened with Dorrece as the Broker/Owner.

Dorrece has been able to combine a long-time philosophy of being a "good neighbor", her love of meeting new people and getting to know them, and enjoyment of music by becoming active in the Killearn Ladies Club and Tallahassee Symphony Society. Other memberships include the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, The Economic Club of Florida, Celebration Baptist Church, and PEO Sisterhood. In addition to music, Dorrece enjoys reading, gardening, and playing bridge with the same group of friends since 1992.

In order to provide her customers and clients with as much expertise as possible, Dorrece has continued her professional education to obtain several designations. They are:

SRES - Seniors Real Estate Specialist
